Intervista a Buzz Aldrin, primo spezzone

What I was describing was what I was absorbing of the moment of the achievement of humanity and the arrival at an extremely desolate location. So it's a contrast of great achievement and not very lively inviting.

And as I have looked back on my life, unless there is an understanding, there may be a danger of that title in saying "I was magnificent and now I'm -- [prrt!] -- desolate!" Okay?

Well, I went through all of that, and 30 years ago I began building up to what I think is approaching a relating of a magnificent opportunity for the experience that was gained by the magnificent achievement of Apollo being translated into another optimistic progression that inspires people, of a pathway that allows reinforcement, that allows off-ramps, that allows changes of direction, but at least is a clear pathway to human beings occupying and settling on another planet in the solar system.
